Glaciers carried rocks from Earth’s early eras southward into the Great Lakes basin. “High surf at Lake Michigan deposits millions and millions of multicolored rocks on the shoreline,” says artist Elizabeth G Fagan. In her work, Fagan attempts to capture the majesty of the Great Lakes.
