“A Great Lake is a massive wilderness that’s different every season and every day. Some days, Lake Michigan is a horizontal line—the point at which air meets water,” says artist Elizabeth G Fagan. “But on most days, waves create visual and auditory drama.”

Elizabeth G Fagan is an artist, photographer, and writer. A former Chicagoan, Fagan currently resides in southeastern Wisconsin. She calls her place in the world Lake Michigan’s Left Coast.
