The unique beauty of Lake Michigan’s shoreline in southeastern Wisconsin inspires digital artist Elizabeth G Fagan. Her process begins with her own photography. She captures fields and farms, flora and fauna, Lake Michigan, seasonal masterpieces. One day, she might focus on a quality of light; on another, colors or patterns in nature.

Fagan uses digital tools to minimize visual noise and emphasize a subject’s distinctive characteristics. Influences include Arts & Crafts and Mid-Century palettes and designs. Because her work is digital, Fagan can print it in a variety of media: prints, canvases, wood panels, greeting cards, and more.

Fagan’s interest in photography began at a private arts high school on Connecticut’s Long Island Sound. With degrees in English, Linguistics, and Web Development, Fagan describes her 30-year professional history as “eclectic.” Fagan now devotes more time to doing what she loves: enjoying nature, taking photographs, writing, and creating art.
