“Around here, there’s an expression among hunters: ‘If it’s brown, it’s down.’ If it was up to hunters, no wildlife would be left at all!” says Fagan. In August, 2018, she photographed a family of Sandhill cranes at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, Belgium, Wisconsin. She creates digital art from her photographs.
